Terms of Service and Sale

Terms governing access to and use of Shakeride.

Purpose and legal notice

These Terms of Service and Sale govern the provision of the Shakeride cloud evaluation and readiness platform, operated by Altitude. By registering an account, launching a ride, or purchasing a subscription or team seat, you agree to these terms in full.

Account registration and credentials

Users must provide accurate and verifiable account details. You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication tokens, passwords, and sessions. Single-seat accounts may not be shared among multiple individuals. Team plans assign distinct licenses per named team member.

Cloud sandbox rules and acceptable use

Shakeride provisions live, dedicated cloud accounts for each ride. These accounts are provided strictly for diagnostic, troubleshooting, and learning exercises within the specified parameters of the challenge.

Strict prohibitions

  • Cryptocurrency mining, distributed compute leasing, or high-intensity unauthorized workloads.
  • Denial-of-service tests, port flooding, or probing systems outside the assigned ephemeral sandbox.
  • Attempting to bypass platform guardrails, extract IAM administrative roots, or pivot into other accounts.
  • Storing real production secrets, customer credentials, or regulated personal data in sandbox resources.

Violations result in immediate session termination, forfeiture of fees, and potential permanent suspension.

Subscriptions, pricing and payment

Pricing is published in euros (EUR), US dollars (USD), British pounds (GBP), and Swiss francs (CHF). Charges are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, or per agreed order form for enterprise cohorts.

Statutory consumer rights of withdrawal or cancellation apply in accordance with applicable Swiss and European consumer regulations. Where an interactive cloud ride is launched with your prior consent, the right of withdrawal expires once environment provisioning begins.

Platform availability and status

We strive to maintain continuous platform availability. Real-time operational health, planned maintenance windows, and incident notices are published on our independent status page at status.shakeride.com.

Intellectual property

All challenge definitions, ride environments, scoring engines, telemetry digestion algorithms, and documentation remain the exclusive intellectual property of Altitude. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for individual practice or team assessment.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding conflict of laws principles. In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland.
