Who builds Shakeride
Shakeride is built by the former Chief Architect of a Swiss private bank, who has watched certified engineers freeze during real incidents.
Regulated finance runs on systems that are not allowed to fail quietly: an incident there means real money, real clients, and a regulator asking what happened. Watching engineers who hold the right certifications struggle the first time something actually breaks in production exposed a gap no exam closes: knowing the material is not the same as operating under pressure.
Shakeride exists to close that gap before an incident does, by putting engineers in front of a system that is genuinely broken, with a clock running, long before the real one is.
What we believe
Readiness is observable.
It is not a feeling, a job title or a year count. Put someone in front of a system that is failing and readiness stops being a matter of opinion within about ten minutes.
Realistic means broken, not simulated.
A guided lab teaches the happy path of a tool. An environment that is genuinely broken, with misleading details left in, teaches what to do when the runbook does not apply.
A score is only useful if it says what to do next.
A number with no direction attached is a grade. We are after the sentence that follows it: this is the kind of failure to practice before it finds you at work.
